The Notre Dame Green Pond girls track and field team earned a hard-fought 80–69 win over Bangor on Tuesday, fueled by a balanced attack across the sprints, distance events, hurdles, and field.
Ella Schweitzer paced the Crusaders with a win in the 400m (1:01.60) and a second-place finish in high jump (4’11"). She joined forces with Brenna Hammerstone, Samantha Karwacki, and Emily Lessig to take second in the 4x400 relay (4:17.20).
Sprinters Emily Lessig and Mia Steirer delivered key points. Lessig took second in both the 100m (12.50) and 200m (26.50), with Steirer placing third in each. Riley Boyle and Sharon Turley dominated the 800m with a 1–2 finish, while Talia Fogel won the 1600m (6:12.70) and Alivia Rieland led a 1–2 finish in the 3200m (13:35.50), followed by Mia Uliana.
In the hurdles, Savina Steele took first in the 300m hurdles (48.50), and Greta Guroff added a third-place finish in the 100m hurdles.
Notre Dame swept the pole vault behind Regan Dittmar (7’3") and Alivia Rieland (6’9"). Julianne Skibinski won the high jump at 5’1", and throwers Sarah Zambo (32’1" shot put) and Evelyn Hersh (114’2" discus) secured crucial field event wins.
The girls' team showed impressive depth, sealing a strong team victory in a tight meet.
