Softball Defeat Southern LeHS to Move on to CL Semifinals

Notre Dame softball shut out Southern Lehigh 5-0 on Saturday to punch their ticket to the Colonial League semifinals. The Crusaders got on the board in the second inning with a solo home run from Sydney Ryan. They broke the game open in the fifth, scoring four runs on four hits. Riley Palank delivered a clutch two-run double, followed by Addison Ryan’s two-run shot to center field.
Emily Szczepanski was dominant in the circle, going the distance with a complete game shutout. She scattered six hits over seven innings, struck out two, and didn’t allow a walk.
Notre Dame’s offense was led by Palank, who went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Addison Ryan also drove in two, while Claire Ceraul, Sydney Ryan, Rachel Fisher, and Natalie Lilly each had multi-hit games as part of the Crusaders’ 13-hit performance.
Next up, Notre Dame will face #1 seed Northwestern Lehigh in the semifinals on Tuesday at 6:30 PM at Pates Park.
