Notre Dame softball rolled to a 15–5 victory over Wilson on Wednesday, fueled by a huge day at the plate from Addison Ryan. Ryan drove in four runs on three hits, including a two-run home run to center field in the seventh. She also added RBI singles in the fifth and sixth innings.
After falling behind early, the Crusaders roared back in the second inning, scoring five runs on five hits to take control of the game. Gabrielle Apgar drove in two runs with a ground out, setting the tone for the offense.
The seventh inning saw another explosive outburst from Notre Dame, plating six runs on five hits. Makenna Deemer singled in a run, Natalie Lilly doubled home two, Riley Palank tripled to drive in another, and Ryan capped the rally with her second homer of the season.
On the mound, Emily Szczepanski earned the win, allowing just one run on three hits over two innings while striking out two. Makenna Deemer provided solid relief, pitching three innings and giving up just two earned runs with two strikeouts.
The Crusaders pounded out 16 hits in the win. Ryan and Lilly each had three hits, while Palank and Claire Ceraul also recorded multi-hit games. Notre Dame ran the bases aggressively, swiping four bags in total.
It was a complete team performance as the Crusaders continue their momentum heading into the postseason. They will now face Southern Lehigh on Saturday.
