The Notre Dame golf team closed out the regular season in impressive fashion, defeating Saucon Valley, 398-447, to finish the regular season with a 9-3 record. The Crusaders’ consistent performance throughout the season earned them a third-place finish in the Colonial League and fourth among District XI Class 2A schools.

Notre Dame was led by strong rounds from Aiden Vanicky and AJ Swercheck, who each carded a 75. Matt Shields followed with a 77, recording a career-low score, while Gene Behme posted an 85. Best finished with an 86, followed by Shaun Echevarria with an 87. Tyler Balas and Trey Neith rounded out the Crusaders’ scoring with rounds of 95 and 96, respectively.

The victory capped a successful regular season in which Notre Dame shot under 400 in seven of its 12 matches, highlighting the team’s consistency and depth throughout the campaign.

The Crusaders will now turn their attention to the Colonial League Championship on Tuesday at Bethlehem Municipal, where they will look to build on their strong regular-season finish.
